The 2019 Emmys just ended with the award for Outstanding Drama Series going to Game of Thrones, reminding me that — before the show’s disappointing final episodes in April — actor/producer Jessica Chastain Instagrammed a video of herself trying to squeeze some pre-finale Game of Thrones spoilers out of her X-Men movie co-star Sophie Turner, aka Sansa Stark. Sophie didn’t snitch, but Chastain’s ideas were so much better than the real thing.
Sansa ends up on the Iron Throne, Arya becomes the hand of the Queen, Daenerys kills Jon Snow, Arya kills Daenerys? That’s the show I wanted to see! Actually, considering that reboots are so popular, can we have Jessica reboot all of GoT season 8? Because the Jaime-Cersei-Brienne triangle deserved a better ending, as did the sibling rivalry between the Hound and the Mountain. And I’d pay good money to have Bran killed off as soon as possible in the season. As a bonus, maybe this alternative GoT season would win Emilia Clarke a well-deserved Emmy, seeing as she was nominated four times in real life and never won.
Since the #Emmys are around the corner, friendly reminder that Emilia Clarke delivered this powerful performance in 2 fictional languages alone in a green room. 👑pic.twitter.com/iA5cCoSmWv

In the meantime, if you’re looking for finale satisfaction guaranteed, I highly recommend Harlots, which is set in 18th-century London’s brothels.
All three seasons are on Hulu, and while a fourth season hasn’t been ruled out, the end of Season 3 is perfectly satisfying as either a season or series finale. I replayed the last scene about 10 times to revel in it!
Come back tomorrow for my Best Dressed/Wear What You Want winner of the 2019 Emmys.
