Rings and Nails Worthy of a Queen Cobra

August 3, 2012 by WendyB

I’m excited that my pal, celebrity manicurist Tracylee Percival, has been named the official “nail ambassador” for beauty-product company Sally Hansen.

Tracylee.

Tracylee has been doing my nails since November 2010, shortly after I made a non-New Year’s resolution to make sure my fingers looked good enough to represent my ring designs. Lately, I’ve been addicted to Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips because they have no drying time, come in great patterns and last about 10 days. (A few applications have lasted over two weeks for me.) Today, Tracylee used Sally Hansen’s “Queen Cobra” pattern on me.

It reminds me of “Brattlesnake” — a netural color with an interesting pattern — and it complements my 18K-gold-and-diamond poison ring designs. From left: my Agrippina ring, Borgia ring and Medici ring.

Sally Hansen is coming out with Insta Gel strips in November. Gel polish is longer-lasting than regular nail polish, so I’ll definitely be using  that product. Can’t wait!

You can follow Tracylee on Twitter at @LuxebyTracylee and Sally Hansen at @SallyHansen.

I also love these because I couldn’t justify the cost of salon manicures and these kinds of patterns are pretty much impossible to do with my non-dominant hand (if I can with the dominant one to begin with)

Sorta the reverse of you, I stopped biting my nails a couple years ago and giving myself manicures. Only after did I realize that “suddenly” rings started looking good on my fingers

The nails are fabulous, but you could have chewed up nails and nobody would notice with those gorgeous rings!!

Ooo, I love the cobra nails & diamond rings combo!! Fierce 🙂
I keep meaning to try those strips!! I’ve been biting my nails for decades now, and keeping nail polish on my fingers is one of the only ways to stop myself!
