Great Minds Think Alike About … Musical Clothes

July 28, 2010 by WendyB

Seeing singer Katy Perry in Friday’s issue of WWD wearing a “custom-made latex dress festooned with musical notes” …

Courtesy WWD

… inspired my outfit for dinner on Monday.

What Wendy Wore
Jacket:
Vintage Patrick Kelly (purchased on eBay in 2010)
Tank top: Splendid
Pants: Tark 1 (probably purchased between 1998 – 2000)
Shoes: Lagerfeld (1994)
Purse: Prada (2007)
Jewelry: My own “OMG” swear rings. (You’ll see more of them soon.)
Watch: Hermes (2002. You’ll see more of this soon too.)
Lip color: MAC’s Lasting Lust, of course!

Cameltoe:
In honor of my idol, Coco. (Obviously, I’m an amateur compared to her.)

I <3 you, Eli and Kim. But I do think Katy Perry is fabulous. I love her big eyes and think she wears the hell out of the latex dresses lately. Also, she has a cat named Kitty Purry. How great is that?

I think YOU’RE the one who inspired HER. She used psychic powers she hijacked from Raven to read your mind. Even if my theory is wrong, A+!

You look fab Wendy! If only we all had Katie Perry’s latex friendly figure! She is totally rocking latex lately, she wore a great union jack/stars and stripes dress for a tv show straight after the world cup England/USA game. E xxx

In the words of my beloved Miss Jay Alexander…’weeeeeeerk!’
And my anti-spam word is Hamlet, so I have to say that if I hadn’t given up shopping for the good of mankind I’d buy your skull ring. Ok, so it’s clearly not for the good of mankind then.

I think the little touch of the fabric is better than the whole dress and then there is that whole blue hair thing. As pretty at Katy Perry is I don’t think she pulls it off!
