Thanks for Giving, Part I

November 26, 2009 by WendyB

Several gorgeous bloggers have surprised me with thoughtful gifts over the past few months. I’ve thanked them by email, but it’s way past time to thank them publicly. I still need to take photos of several items, so I’ll start out with just one: the Ghostbusters uniform Halloween dress made by Practically Perfect in Every Way. I looked forward to Halloween all year, but when the time finally came, I wasn’t in much of a party mood. Then an unexpected package arrived. PPIEW’s card alone was enough to make me feel spook-tacular:

“Wendy, I started with a vision and once I saw the bow I knew it must be yours! As far as the vagina pockets, they weren’t planned that way — you just got lucky! I hope you will look past the inexperienced craftsmanship & give this one of a kind piece a home! You inspire me & that’s just one more reason I adore you!”

I adore you, too, PPIEW. You were one of my earliest stalkers, and I will never forget that. So even though I didn’t have a good face day on Halloween, I am posting this picture for you.

I prefer to think of them as "Georgia O'Keeffe pockets."

The name tag says Venkman and the “uniform” has slime on it.

You can get your own Venkman uniform t-shirt.

Click to buy.

But the t-shirt doesn’t have vagina pockets like my dress does. I feel so special, PPIEW!

Check back soon for my outfit post from the Committee to Protect Journalists dinner. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
