Only Happy When It Rains

November 8, 2008 by WendyB

Burberry’s studded rain boots are on sale for $270, down from $450 (reduction reflected at checkout). Make sure you use this private sale link, courtesy of Madison Avenue Spy. The sale is on till tomorrow.

UPDATED TO ADD: In case you were wondering, I find the reduced price steep but not appalling. How often do you buy rain boots anyway? It’s not like you need a new pair every year. I’ve had my current ones for a number of years, and plan to continue wearing them until they fall apart. To me, if you have a pair of really special boots for, oh, 10 years, that’s not bad at all for $270.

I think those are the best rainboots I’ve seen to date. I want them!

Wow, that’s quite the reduction! The studs make them more interesting than the standard Burberry plaid rainboots, but I’d still be reluctant to shell out that much for rubber boots. 😛

Those are awesome. I bet they wouldn’t be too hard to DIY either.

Man they are the most stylish rain boots I’ve ever seen. DIY? Hmmm wonder if that will work.

Hi there-I love the white version best, they’re great!

I like them much better in black. There is something slightly wrong about white wellies.

I’m shocked at the price even at the marked down rate. Rubber boots, spray paint and a bedazzler, that’ll work right? 🙂

    Those are cute.

Let’s see, the last time it rained was . . . December, 2007. I’d better hurry and get these, before it’s too late!

Ooh, I love them in black!

But I wouldn’t pay that much money for rainboots unless I lived in London where it downpours on a daily basis haha 🙂

They’re cool, but I’d like them more if the studs on the black ones were a different color. White wellies are impractical.

I’m still hunting for my perfect pair, I might just go with the old Hunter Green ones…

the white with the gold is very cute. i love those. but i can’t keep white clean no matter what i do. they’d never last me 10 years. black is more practical, but i don’t think they are as interesting as the white.
    *sigh*

The white ones scare me slightly. I would love to see DIY ones, might even try seen as it pretty much rains constantly with me.

Loving your blog, came across it tonight.

They are cute and I get your logic of price. I don’t walk in the rain enough to be worth the money, but I appreciate the style

You really have your ear to the ground for this stuff! That’s quite a discount — and for something so gorgeous and unique. Not to mention functional!

i bought my mom a silver pair of kenneth cole rainboots, but they were very very much more cheaper. she gardens so her previous rainboots got a hole in them.

the studs on the burberry ones are cute. at least there’s that detail, the chanel ones are pretty plain.
