Been There, Done That

September 18, 2008 by WendyB

After I posted a picture of my gorgeous client Melissa’s new pixie hairdo, a few peeps asked me if I would ever consider a pixie. Been there, done that! Here’s proof from October 1992.

I was being silly with lipstick in the Great Outdoors at the request of my gorgeous friend Phil, who was wielding the camera. This photo is labeled, “Being a nature woman.” I still have the leather jacket.

You can see the same hairdo in a flower-pinching photo here.

Oh, I thought that was a still shot from an old movie, you know, with James Dean or Marlon Brando. All kidding aside, you’re so cute, WendyB.

Thanks for the visit and the advice.

I’m going to read about Bumpe soon, I promise. He’s cute, too.

Works on you! Hair and the jacket (Wish I had saved the biker jacket that belonged to my ex. Left the jacket when I left him. Man, that was a good jacket).

    You were a supercute pixie!

I think everyone’s got to try the pixie at least once, that way if it turns out to be the perfect look for you then you’ll know about it. Everyone else can just grow it back again.

That is a great picture. I agree with Lynette, it looks like a film still.
The real question is: did you like the pixie cut?

does look like some kind of an editorial shot. what a cute hairdo. What’s stopping you from going back to that look though (apart from been there and done that). You have a nice looking head as well. No kidding. My head is so flat at the back I just cannot do that hair cut.

Weren’t you on altamira or something? I swear I remember a post saying something about Wendy B who designs jewelry! =) It has just been a blur of blog posts since the fashion weeks have started so I hope I’m getting that right! =)

leather jacket, lipstick, adorable hair, this picture has it all. and you look exactly like a friend of mine in DC, so if you’re ever there again in a pixie cut and someone calls you “Audrey” you’ll know why.

That was a good look for you. Whenever I find a good look, possibly in the next three decades, I will make sure to also have someone else take a picture of it. Until then, however, I’m going to keep pretending I hate pictures because they steal my soul.
