Five Things Tag

May 21, 2008 by WendyB

Early this month, Newly Inspired tagged me with the five things meme. While I dawdled over it, Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere tagged me too. I better do it before any more tags pile up. Here goes.

5 things in my Prada Gaufre bag
1. Business cards
2. MAC Pro Longwear Lipcolour in Lasting Lust
3. Crumpled taxi receipts
4. Crumpled Starburst candy wrappers
5. Crumpled Kleenex

5 things in my room
1. Gigi the dog
2. Piles of dog toys
3. Piles of books
4. Piles of magazines
5. Piles of shoes

5 things I’ve always wanted to do
1. Take a year off
2. Stop worrying
3. Cure cancer
4. Reverse global warming
5. Get on WWD’s worst-dressed page

5 things I’m currently into
1. Crazily printed dresses
2. Gladiator sandals
3. Dramatic sleeves
4. My Lotus Flower Necklace
5. Pineapple.

5 Impressions of Emily and Newly Inspired
1. They’re gorgeous.
2. They’re stylish.
3. They’re witty.
4. The contents of their bags are less crumpled than the contents of my bag.
5. They have good taste in taggees.

heh pineapple…the other day i was on the aol site and they had some “weirdest houses” type of article. Apparently pineapples were a sign of wealth in past times and some duke (actually i don’t know if it was a duke, but you get my point) made his house/observatory in the shape of a pineapple. It was amusing, until then I thought only spongebob lived in a pineapple…how silly of me. There was also some guy who made his house to look like a toilet, now that’s funny.

Of the 5 things you want to do, at least you could realistically stop worrying-easier said than done though!! Your career won’t allow a year off-will it?

I sure do love that pineapple necklace! One day when I’m rolling in the dough (post-grad school I’m sure) I will deck myself out in your wonderful creations.

    WWD was WRONG.

I love that you have crumpled Starburst candy wrappers in your bag.

Thanks for doing this! I loved reading your answers, but must admit that you’ve never seen a messier bag than mine. Hope that makes you feel better to know I still carry around receipts from ’07.

Jello, I’d love to live in a fruit.
Copperoranges, I didn’t realize it was my lifelong dream till I had achieved it.
Sharon Rose, I feel guilty taking an hour off (I still do it, but I feel really bad!)
    Kamel, great!
Maiden, thanks! I have all kinds of fruit available.
    Iron, it’s so delicious.
ENC, one of my wholesalers always has a bowl of Starbursts out. That’s where the wrappers are from.
Emily, don’t tempt me to scrounge up something that can top your old receipts.
LBR, I think you could achieve total peace of mind with that necklace. A sapphire version would look nice on you.
    CDP, thank you!
    BFH, thank you!
    WhatWould, I can’t resist candy.
Jayne,I’m not making much progress, are you?

Your pairs of gladiators are super fab, ma’am…any tips for poor tall me, who’s looking and looking for the ultimate pair of flat ones? I feel like they’re all either incredibly boring or way too gold.

^^How about a pair of tall gladiators? Those are definitely not boring.

I’m stuck at the MAC lipstick. I have gone through countless tubes of Ruby Woo and Russian Red. Can we have a nice thorough post on red lipstick, of have I missed that one?

  18. WendyB says

    May 22, 2008 at 3:41 pm

Good idea, Sister. But for that post I will have to tear myself away from Lasting Lust — that’s a challenge! I’m addicted to it.

  19. BS says

    May 22, 2008 at 3:54 pm

I’d like to second the red lipstick post request. I can’t for the life of me seem to find something that works with my dark hair/pale skin combo without making me look like Elvira. The closest I’ve been able to get is Trish McEvoy’s Lip Plumper in Deep Rose, which, as the name would suggest, is not actually red. Minor detail.

    May 22, 2008 at 8:15 pm

Okay, I promise I will do a red lipstick post. It will take me a little while to research it, because I have become overly dependent on one red and will need to study up on the latest options 🙂
