Los Angeles Shopping: Roseark

April 1, 2008 by WendyB

One of my stops during my trip to Los Angeles was Roseark (formerly known as Kaviar and Kind) in West Hollywood. If you’re ever in the area, stop by 8533 Sunset Boulevard and ask to see my designs. This beautiful boutique carries my Papessa Prayer Locket, Xenobia Ring and many other pieces. The lovely ladies of Roseark also provided OK! Magazine with the Borgia Ring that Britney Spears ran off with. Exciting!

If you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet gorgeous Roseark employee Valerie. She reluctantly posed with me in the store.

She’s so pretty I just want to pinch her.

I took a picture of the store’s new sign as well.

I thought it wasn’t supposed to get cloudy in LA!

Since the renaming of the store happened very recently, its new website isn’t quite ready for prime time. Well, I know all about that kind of situation (but I’m almost done with mine, I swear).

I can’t believe it took this long for me to land here. You look as cute as Valerie.

I didn’t know KK changed their name. Do you know why?

Anne, K&K was owned by two partners. One of the partners (Sunrise Ruffalo) left,so a rebranding was in order.

Sunrise Ruffalo! I love her husband’s work (when he’s doing indy, not mainstream flicks). And still on the celebrity topic–did Ms. Spears at least send you a note of thanks or delight for the ring? Manners, manners.

Even better: OK! paid for the ring.

I’ve read about the change of name in WWD.

Hey, I’d been hoping you’d write something cool for April Fool’s Day!!!

She’s cute, alright. I like that shop, was in there last year sometime. I can’t wait to see your new website! The front page is nice while we wait.

It actually looks like the clouds are parting so the sun can shine on the sign. Did you hear a choir of angels?

Hope your travels to L.A. were as successful as you hoped and that Roseark sells lots of Wendy Brandes originals for full retail.

Hey, get back in New York. Who is keeping an eye on the place while you’re gone?

How is it that people seem to so frequently “reluctantly” pose for pics with you Wendy? 🙂

Maybe there’s something you need to tell me, Craig. Do I smell really bad?

Hi again-I’m sorry you had to do ‘cloudy’ in LA, Wendy (its like that a lot here in Essex!), but I hope your trip was a lot of fun anyway!

I kind of liked the old name better. This new one is kinda boring..
