An American Pig in Paris

April 24, 2008 by WendyB

A few more Paris photos from Fernando von Bakonstein.

It was spring…

We took some family snapshots…

Chillaxed at the hotel…

and rode the Metro.

“Those Marc Jacobs shoes are fugly,” thought Fernando, “but they do complement my complexion.”

Alessandra says that the French are gaga for Castaner espadrilles.

The luggage-misplacing surrender monkeys at Air France can kiss Fernando’s pink ass!
(But the suitcases reappeared in the end. So to speak.)

Fernando will soon be sharing lots more pictures from Washington DC and New York. In other news, the second part of the Thursday Book Club on Empress Matilda will appear next week. Mark your calendars!

Did he pick me up any joie de vivre? I’ve been looking everywhere for that.

Okay, mostly just in the bottom of liquor bottles, but looking nonetheless.

I’m so jealous of Fernando. He is so much more well traveled and cosmopolitan than me. Not to mention he has a smaller ass, the bitch!

PAD, didn’t find that for you, but I can probably find you a worm in a bottle of tequila. Will that suffice?
Prunella and IYF, he’s got a nice little derriere, doesn’t he?

Excellent recap. I like the link for the last picture. And that first picture cracks me up. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my pig so jubilant. He loves Paris in the springtime. And in the fall. And in the summer when it sizzles, etc. etc.

You and your Mr. look really happy.

Love all of these pics and you & your husband are too cute.

Is it possible we could see Fernando on a pig farm? Among his brethren?

McGone, he seems dirty but happy. Well, he’s drunk all the time, what’s not to be happy about?
Ambika, I think Fernando will have to go to another blogger in another state to meet his relatives! We’re all city slickers here.
ENC, we were totally faking it that day after lots of aggravation.

Wendy, you need to make a travel picture book called “Travels with Fernando.” It would be a best seller!

I definetly agree with Fernando’s verdict on the MJ shoes, and I must not that he really does look happy in those flowers.

These series of pictures really is the cutest, I can feel the contemplation of Fernando when he look at those MJ shoes!
