Imagine a Resemblance

March 3, 2008 by WendyB

WendyB

John Lennon

I really like my round Lennon-esque sunglasses. But I’m not a big fan of Lennon’s “Imagine.” I think he dealt with similar issues in a more powerful way in “God.” That’s probably my favorite solo Lennon work, though listening to it makes me sad because the lyric “The dream is over” was used in so many Lennon obituaries. Click here for hot photos of John and Yoko and my rant about Paul McCartney.

UPDATED TO ADD: I’ve just got to share this. Just in case you thought I was paranoid.

    Besos!

I can’t believe that someone wrote that about the B necklace. As if the movie studio just didn’t put any thought into what necklace she is wearing in all the ads.

Next you’re going to say you’re more popular than Jesus.

My wife sometimes says I look like JL because we both have imperfect teeth. He had them because he was English. I have them because I’m scared of dentists.

Ughhhhh. do you beleive how stupid people are sometimes.
Like people weren’t with it enough in the 16th century to think of a “B” necklace. They were all over monograms back then!

I see the resemblence. And high compliments indeed if you approve of my jewelry choice!

I agree, that album wasn’t very impressive to me, I always see it in discount CD stores. (Yes I still buy CDs!!)

Okay, you’re not paranoid. Are you still PMSing?

Your eyes are just the right distance apart to pull those off. I would look like I was trying too hard if I wore them.

My Mother has a pair of Lennon style sunglasses from when they were originally in style. It’s great.

you are the only one i know that could pull off those glasses!

maybe if anne would have had your necklace design she could have kept her head on a little longer!

Cool. I hear Kate Lanphear finds inspiration in Johnny Cash.

You find inspiration in John Lennon.

It’s fun to see women finding “inspiration”, coincidental or otherwise, in men.

Maybe I should find a woman to find inspiration in 🙂

How in the Helen of Troy do you always manage to look so good?! I wish I were that photogenic.

Miss Janey, I would love to do a Yoko ring. I’m a little worried Yoko would find out and beat my ass. But I don’t have to worry about that because inspiration hasn’t struck yet. I do have a hat I call Yoko, though.
Miss J, gasp! Lennon, of course! I don’t think the glasses go well with Potter’s scar.
    Megan, I know, right?
Grant, what? I can’t hear you through all this LSD.
Iron Chic, as I’m sure you know, they especially liked combining initials from a couples’ names to make little designs.
    TCH, yep, I liked those.
Riz, I wondered if anyone did!
    Suze, when am I not?
Jill, aw, give ’em a shot.
Paris, I’m so like an English dude, I know, it’s shocking.
Jill, I really wanted a vintage pair but haven’t found one that fit yet.
PPIEW, Anne really needed a whole different strategy, poor thing.
Altamira, Patti Smith would not count!
ENC, oh please! I cringe at 99.9% of the photos and the other .1% I cringe at but post anyway out of despair.

You look good with the round frames! I could never wear those types of frames. I would look like an owl or something.

My friend has a pair of round ‘john lennon’ style sunglasses just like yours. They have been sitting on her dressing table for years, because she’s never been brave enough to wear them-because in australia it’s more about trends & fitting in than individualism.

But i’ll have to show her this post, maybe it will give her enough courage to rock them like u!

I think it would be funny if someone photoshopped the movie poster (or the official portrait) to depict Anne wearing a Carrie Bradshaw-style gold necklace that says “AnnieB”.

    I totally see the resemblance.

i think my friend abigail takes the cake, but those glasses do give you a striking resemblance.
