Acne Jeans

July 30, 2007 by WendyB

One of the highlights of my recent trip to Sweden was a chance to shop for Acne Jeans in their native land. I like the medium-waisted Hex and high-waisted Tube styles. But if you like a lower waist, the Hep style is on sale at Barneys. I am intrigued by the Lavender and Flour colors. Here’s a picture of the Hep in Flour, plus a not-very-attractive picture of me wearing the Tube jeans…but I’m sharing it to show how the legs fit on me. The Hex is a bit tighter than the Tube.

Thye have them at Urban outfitters too, but they look verrry tight. Is that the case?

They are skinny, but I don’t think they give you that “almost leggings” or “I’m a sausage” look. I’ll see if I can find a picture of me wearing them. Of course, with all jeans, it is probably safer to try them on in person rather than order them online…the fit is so individual…almost as much as shoes, don’t you think?

Very much so! Skinny to some companies means tapered and places like H&M are all about the sausage casing. I love the ones you are wearing in the pic; they look wonderful!

(My last comment said this, but was missing a few letters. Too early!)

I think I might have taken in the Tube ones a tiny bit in the calf too…I think they’d be a little looser normally, but still a straight leg. I’ll take a picture of the Hex style as soon as I get a chance.
