What Wendy Wore: Double Denim on the Sly

June 10, 2010 by WendyB

I wore double denim yesterday … but no blue jeans were involved.

Coat: Vintage denim “dice” coat by Patrick Kelly (purchased 2008)
T-shirt: American Apparel
Jeans: Acne (2007)
Shoes: Prada (pre-2004)
Lip color: Lasting Lust by MAC

Necklace: Mud Flap Jill

It still counts, bitches! Denim on top, denim on bottom. Don’t fight it.

Meanwhile, since my last double-denim post, lots of gorgeous bloggers have been getting in on the double-denim trend.

And despite my reservations, all of those ladies pull it off admirably. I loved them all! I’m being converted. I just bought a denim pencil skirt so I might try the old double denim thing out myself.

You know, I never consider white jeans “denim”. They’re more “canvas”. ๐Ÿ™‚ But I’ll let you off miss B.

OMG WENDY this is so weird! I never wear double denim… but I did yesterday/today for the first time (same outfit all of yesterday and then this morning too… a bit skanky I know but I didn’t know I wasn’t going home). I wore skinny black denim jeans and a light blue denim waistcoat then later a light denim jacket. xxx

rock on! i am always the one who finally buckles at the last minute and goes out to buy “said” hot item (such as denim) and then it is no longer cool. SO 3 years from now I will be sporting double denim when nobody else is…haha.

I am a tad too late with everything. oh well. ๐Ÿ™‚

Love your trench!! Isn’t it crazy that it was hot as hell the other day, and now we have to dust off the jackets and sweaters! Unbelievable! Glad double denim is still alive and kicking!

Ok. I concede that other people look great doing it (especially you, Wendy, due to the lack of blue denim-ness) but I still cannot bring myself to do it.

While I believe everyone looks very cool, don’t y’all find denim to be too warm? I do myself–I don’t own any denim because I’m uncomfortable in it.

Thanks, WendyB, for your comment about our darlin’ little Duncan. Mama and I appreciate it.
