Boudicca Jacket

February 9, 2009 by WendyB

Somewhere, there is a gorgeous blogger who likes Boudicca. Sadly, I can’t remember who she is, even though I did remember that I said I’d take a picture of my Boudicca jacket for her — last year. Here it is at last, mystery person! Maybe next year I’ll take a better photo, because I’m not sure if you can tell that the jacket is ultra-puffy, except for really tight zipped forearms. The long fringe hanging off the sleeves always gets a big reaction from people.

Getting back to business, don’t forget I’m having a Valentine’s Day sale. Check it out here and here. And if you aren’t aware about how Saks’ pre-holiday discounts hurt small stores and designers, the Wall Street Journal has a great story here. After you read it, I hope you’ll be inspired to help the economy by buying some beautiful WendyB jewelry. Don’t let the big guys run me out of business!

Lovelovelove the Boudica jacket! It probably wasn’t me who asked but I’m glad you posted it! Also glad to see I’m not the only one who says puffa. Whenever you wanna trade it for my white leather moto jacket, I’m ready. Ha.

I don’t know if it’s me you’re thinking of, but I adore Boudicca. I have a jacket of theirs myself (http://style-spy.blogspot.com/2007/10/satisfaction.html) and oh, it does me right.

There is a brand of jeans called “Acne?” What an unfortunate name choice. I can’t imagine what names were turned down before they settled on Acne. Pustule? Eczema? Psoriasis?

I’m sorry, since I’m fashion-challenged all I can do is make lame jokes.

BeckEye, the name is very annoying, especially because it stands for something like Artistic Creations blah blah. Kind of pretentious. But I like the way the jeans fit!

Never heard of Boudicca, and I thought you were asking me about my opinion on the red-haired warrior – to which I would reply LOVE. Same answer here too x

What a great-looking jacket, WendyB! I love the fringe. I bet that was a huge selling point for you, wasn’t it?

How’s the Valentine’s Day sale going?

Sneaky WendyB, making the picture go to your site! 😉

ENC, actually the collar was what fascinated me. You can’t really see it in that picture.

KD, LOL, you just found that out? I do it all the time. Mostly because I don’t really need anyone looking at a jumbo-sized photo of me. I’m not a click to enlarge fan. 🙂

I knew you often did it, but I didn’t expect it on a photo that looks perfectly fine/one in which it would seem as though you are wearing underwear, unlike, say, the Versace lace-paneled pants.

  26. WendyB says

    February 10, 2009 at 7:14 pm

LOL, KD. Maybe I was wearing undies, maybe not. Who will ever know? 😉

That article about Saks inadvertently (?) pushing out the small boutiques was a shocker, very upsetting.

Love your blog and your vision. I found you via passage des perles.

And I thought you had just been working out those biceps! (How did I miss this?) Love it, and I do like the fringe, I imagine it gets all kinds of people uptight (staring down with furrowed brow and curled lips – ‘what is that?’ what’s she doing? what is that?)
