Yes, Kathie Lee, the preternaturally perky talk-show host, is, like those other ambitious ladies, the subject of her very own musical. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nymf.org\/Show-776.html\">She Can&#8217;t Believe She Said That!<\/a> (subtitled <em>The Rise and Fall and Fall and Rise of Kathie Lee Gifford nee Epstein<\/em>) is the highlariously demented brain child of Matt Prager, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southparkstudios.com\/\">South Park<\/a> writer. Broadway actress <a href=\"http:\/\/www.broadway.com\/gen\/Buzz_Star_File.aspx?ci=533147\">Heather Laws<\/a> pulls out all the stops while singing lines like &#8220;I used to be a Jew &#8230; now I&#8217;m Christian-er than you.&#8221; With clever choreography and staging, this is definitely a must-see.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.newsday.com\/entertainment\/tv\/blog\/2008\/03\/urgent_kathy_lee_gifford_to_to.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_gTmdbGeiE-E\/SOKCOZxBv-I\/AAAAAAAAEkw\/L7_gifN2s0g\/s320\/regis-and-kathie-lee-lastday.JPG\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251903299413721058\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size:85%;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">The real Kathie Lee, with Regis<\/span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<p>Because bloggers often request suggestions for things to do while in New York, I decided I would do the occasional post on the topic, especially if the activity or place is off the beaten path. This musical is in a tiny little theater on the third floor of a building on West 36th Street, so it&#8217;s not the kind of thing you&#8217;d normally stumble upon. If you&#8217;re in town this week, I highly recommend catching this. The show will be performed tomorrow at 4:30 PM, Saturday at 4:30 PM and Sunday at 1 PM.
