A round of applause, please, for gorgeous and generous blogger Deja Pseu<\/a>, who won my NieNie auction<\/a> with a bid of $1,500! Little birds tell me that this might be a record auction bid in the NieNie world, though I will have to investigate that further.<\/p>\n

To refresh your memories, the auction was being held to help pay medical expenses for blogger Stephanie “NieNie” Nielson and her husband Christian, both of whom were badly burned in a plane crash last month. You can keep up-to-date on their condition at Stephanie’s sister’s blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With her spectacular bid, Deja Pseu<\/a> won my silver Diana Necklace, which will be specially engraved by a master engraver for her.<\/p>\n

I’m also sending her a pair of lovely blue topaz stud earrings. Most importantly, I’ll be making DP immortal by designing and naming a piece of jewelry for her and putting it on my website<\/a> in the company of notables such as Elizabeth I<\/a> and Cleopatra<\/a>. Immortality for $1,500! Not a bad deal. Plus DP will think of the good deed she did every time she wears her Diana Necklace, which I hope will be often.<\/p>\n

The rest of you should remember that $1,500 doesn’t go very far when treating someone who has been burned over 80% of her body.
