When I was writing my post about Madonna’s ’80s lace-up booties<\/a>, I had to do a lot of digging because every scrap of Madonna shoe information seemed to be about her pink Fluevogs <\/a>in Truth or Dare<\/a>. Despite all those references, I couldn’t find a photo. Then came Lady Miss Kier<\/a> to the rescue! The Deee-Lite<\/a> singer wore the same “Munster” shoe on the cover of World Clique.<\/p>\n

Much to my deee-lite, Fluevog has reissued the Munsters.<\/p>\n

If so, I WILL have these shoes. Then I can pretend I’m Lady Miss Kier. I love her. First of all, the name! Lady Miss! I want to be called Lady Miss WendyB. Second, I have coveted Kier’s space-age ’60s look from Groove is in the Heart<\/a> since the video came out in 1990. The hair, the makeup, the clothes, the shoes, the jewelry … the face. I want it all.<\/p>\n

If a genie<\/a> granted me three wishes, I’d seriously consider wishing to look like Lady Miss Kier in that video (right after I wished for world peace and a cure for cancer, of course).<\/p>\n

If I could finagle a fourth wish, I’d get the Alexander McQueen boots on the cover of the Fall 2010 Bergdorf Goodman<\/a> catalog.<\/p>\n

These are a work of art. Unfortunately, they cost $3,995 which is expensive for boots … but, come to think of it, not too bad for art. A Picasso painting sold at a record auction price of $106.5 million this year<\/a> and you can’t even wear it! Sheesh! If I’m going to spend $106.5 million on something, I want to be able to wear it out of the house so bitches can be jealous. The boots are starting to seem less and less expensive.\u00a0 WHERE IS THAT GENIE?!<\/p>\n

Now that I put the McQueen price in perspective, I’m experiencing a surge in non-buyer’s remorse for missing out on Ferragamo’s reissue of its iconic rainbow wedge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The shoe was created in 1938 for Julie Garland and was reproduced in a limited quantity this year. I’ve always drooled over this shoe in books, but I thought I shouldn’t spend $2,500 on a pair of shoes. But … but … this isn’t just a shoe. It’s art! And it was $106,497,500 less than a Picasso.\u00a0 I missed out on a total bargain.<\/p>\n
