My designing friend Zang Toi<\/a> had his Spring 2011 fashion show at Lincoln Center last night. The theme was “Lone Star Cowboy & the Texas Rose,” and the inspiration was the epic 1956 movie Giant<\/a>, starring Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and James Dean. Zang’s audience got to hootin’ and hollerin’ when a shirtless cowboy strolled out to start the show.<\/p>\n

The music was Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy), of course! Click!<\/p><\/div>\n

As always at Zang’s shows, there were beautiful gowns.<\/p>\n

Pink silk organza empire pleated gown with cascading rose petals.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Texas Rose strapless gown with sunburst pleats overlay.<\/p><\/div>\n

The denim trench coat over hot pants was a sex-ay look. To the left of the model, in the front row of the audience, you can see LuAnn de Lesseps (aka the Countess) from The Real Housewives of New York City<\/a>. Her co-star, Ramona Singer, is the blonde fiddling with a pink phone.<\/p>\n

Black denim floor-length trench and black denim hot pant.<\/p><\/div>\n

But I have my eye on the Lone Star cowboy scarf-print slip dress. I already emailed Zang about it.<\/p>\n

I might even wear it with the cowboy hat. I love it!<\/p><\/div>\n

As promised<\/a>, I wore my new red cashmere Zang dress. Gorgeous blogger Jennine of The Coveted<\/a> and Independent Fashion Bloggers<\/a> and gorgeous blogger<\/a>\/designer<\/a> Stacy Lomman accompanied me. Jennine wore a doo.ri dress and a Juicy jacket. Stacy wore her own dress design and my silver Cleopatra earrings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I was also wearing a drape-y Zang Toi sweater. “All my ladies have this sweater!” he’s always telling me. Sure enough, I found two other sweater-wearing Zang ladies. We all struck a pose.<\/p>\n

Sweater girls!<\/p><\/div>\n

Zang went for a white jacket, white shirt, white tie and white boutonni\u00e8re. Isn’t he cute?<\/p>\n
