Remember how I asked you to guess whether or not I got the Jean-Charles de Castelbajac sailor outfit<\/a>? It was a trick question! I got a navy blue version of the white pants I was wearing in the picture and a different nautical-themed top. So, yes, I got a head-to-toe outfit, but it wasn’t the one I showed you.<\/p>\n

The sailor outfit has caused the song Sailing by Christopher Cross<\/a> to be stuck in my head. This is unfortunate, because I’ve hated that song for 30 years.<\/p>\n

I’m more partial to Christopher Cross<\/a>‘s theme song for the 1981 movie Arthur<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The movie starred Dudley Moore<\/a> and Liza Minnelli<\/a>. I saw this movie when it first came out and again on TV recently and every second of it is as perfect as I remembered. I’m appalled that Russell Brand is starring in a remake<\/a>. I like Russell fine, despite his tedious autobiography<\/a> (WTF? How can you be so boring when you’ve been a bulimic, a junkie, a sex addict and a stand-up comic?), but he’s never going to deliver lines like, “Are you a hooker? I forgot! I just thought I was doing great with you!” with Dudley Moore’s charm.<\/p>\n

It cheers me up to remember that the full name of Family Guy’s Chris Griffin<\/a> is “Christopher Cross Griffin.” The name was mentioned in an episode that I saw with my stepchildren, who were like, “Who the fuck is Christopher Cross?” That’s what you get, real Christopher Cross, for bothering me with that Sailing song!<\/p>\n

Speaking of the horn, I am so loving Mallorca. It’s beautiful here, of course, but more importantly, a 16-year-old English kid chatted me up at the pool with, “Hey gorgeous!
