Every time I plan to make a big blogging comeback, grief gets in the way. Last year, it was the loss of my gorgeous rapper friend Gangsta Boo. This year, it’s been the horrific genocide of the Palestinian people. If you follow me on Instagram, you’re aware of my sentiments and activism related to Gaza and the West Bank. Now, as I prepared to dive into this blogversary post, I find I’m having a technical problem related to website security – adding links to this post is impossible and the blog isn’t even accessible from most browsers. I’ll have to deal with that tomorrow. But I’m leaving this as kind of a “placeholder” post to say I’m still here. And that seems appropriate because my very first post on July 23, 2007, was a placeholder that said I probably wouldn’t be blogging much. I immediately proved myself wrong by blogging up a storm.
