ENC of Observationmode<\/a> is too shy to make a big deal of it herself, so I’m making a fuss for her: She’s getting married on March 20! Stop by her blog to leave your best wishes, but not your congratulations<\/a>. Traditionally, you say “Congratulations” to the groom because he’s managed to find a woman who will put up with his ass. You say “best wishes” to the bride because it’s more polite than saying, “Um, good luck with that!” and bursting into wild laughter. Though now that I think of it, a few people said “best wishes” to me at my wedding and burst into wild laughter anyway.<\/p>\n
