There hasn’t been a shoe that’s interested me in quite a while, but this Dior caught my eye because it reminds me of a Peter Fox style I had in the 1980s.<\/p>\n

You can just barely make out those Peter Fox shoes against my crazy striped tights in this poorly lit photo from 1986.<\/p>\n

Madonna wore lace-up booties, so I did too<\/a>! I got those shoes in high school and they were a big splurge. Even though my foot grew later, I kept them for years until I reluctantly faced facts and gave them away. Honestly, I wish I still had them because they were such a great 1980s fashion artifact.<\/p>\n

Speaking of ’80s artifacts of the shoe variety, Anne Klein Couture used to do fabulous boots, and I’m still searching for a pair of the brand’s famous zipper boots.<\/p>\n
