The confirmation of Beer-Krazed Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court doesn&#8217;t take anything away from the bravery of these people!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/v_SWHzReBVo\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I know a lot of us are disappointed now, but we must not despair. U.S. citizens have faced worse than this. As always, I have suggestions<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/10\/06\/reader-center\/women-reaction-kavanaugh-vote.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times wants to hear how you feel, wimmins! The form is easy to fill out, so why not vent a little?<\/a><\/li>\n<li>There are so many good Democratic candidates in tight races that it&#8217;s tough to choose where to donate. Now you don&#8217;t have to make a choice! <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.actblue.com\/donate\/grabyourballot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#GrabYourBallot allows you to donate to 31 candidates at once<\/a>. I recommend doing this instead of the fundraiser for an unnamed Susan Collins challenger in Maine, because Collins isn&#8217;t up for re-election until 2020.<\/li>\n<li>Help get the vote out by participating in <a href=\"https:\/\/postcardstovoters.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Postcards to Voters<\/a>. You can start with as few as five cards.<\/li>\n<li>Join your local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indivisible.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indivisible chapter<\/a> to get in on some canvassing and phonebanking opportunities. You can also check out <a href=\"https:\/\/swingleft.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swing Left<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sisterdistrict.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sister District<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/flippable.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flippable<\/a> for important red-to-blue races.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In case you missed it, here&#8217;s what was on the blog this week.
