I believe that almost any of my engagement\/wedding ring designs could be worn by a woman, man, or someone who identifies otherwise &#8212; once it&#8217;s sized for the wearer&#8217;s finger. It&#8217;s all about proportion! The brown-diamond mangagement ring? Anyone could wear that style as long as it was made the right size. That&#8217;s when I made a ring for a (female) friend that was meant to serve as both an engagement ring and a wedding band.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Jen-Ring-crop.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"498\" height=\"450\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-39366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Jen-Ring-crop.jpg 498w, https:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Jen-Ring-crop-300x271.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That made me realize I loved the idea of a single, chunky, multi-functional ring. As I wrote in 2010:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It&#8217;s unisex:<\/strong> A man and a woman could have matching rings. It would also work for two women getting married, or two men.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It\u2019s ergonomic:<\/strong> The stones are set flush with the metal, or nearly so. You won\u2019t get it snagged on anything, the way you might with a ring with a very high setting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It\u2019s versatile: <\/strong>It doesn\u2019t have to be worn as wedding jewelry at all.
