I’ve been inspired to dust off my old square bag by Muxart<\/a>. (Isn’t it odd that the brand names are so close?)<\/p>\n

It was never as glamorous as the Moynat bag and it’s a little the worse for wear now, but it is adequate. Also, it doesn’t cost $3,600 like the Moynat bag. (You could get a limited-edition, 18K gold ring<\/a> for not much more than that.)\u00a0 The Muxart bag is one of my pre-blog acquisitions<\/a>, so I’m not sure of its history. I suspect I got it at Henri Bendel<\/a> in the early 2000s, but I wouldn’t swear to it. No matter what, this bag qualifies as homegrown vintage<\/a>.
