In Wednesday’s vlog<\/a> about vintage designer Ossie Clark<\/a>, I said that I hadn’t bought any new Ossie pieces in a long time. The prices were too high for several years, but, even after they came down a bit, I figured I had such a good Ossie collection that I would have to see a new piece in person — not online — to feel passionate about it.<\/p>\n

Naturally, mere hours after I posted the video, I found an Ossie Clark jacket online that I fell madly in love with: a satin bomber jacket with Celia Birtwell fabric. I’ve never seen this style before.<\/p>\n

It’s being sold on 1stdibs.com by Steinberg & Tolkien<\/a>, based in Santa Monica, Calif. If this is related to the brick-and-mortar Steinberg & Tolkien store<\/a> that I shopped at in London a dozen years ago, it’s a reliable source for good Ossie. Too bad it’s $2,750! I’m already bitterly jealous of whoever eventually buys this. I’ve got premature envy!<\/p>\n
