Today is officially International Women’s Day for most of us, but every day is International Women’s Day at ANZA Gems.<\/p>\n

As I’ve written before<\/a>, ANZA was founded in 2014 by my friend Monica Stephenson of the jewelry blog iDazzle<\/a> in order to offer a transparent journey from the gem mine to the customer. To do this, Monica travels to Tanzania and Kenya where she personally sources ethically mined, colored-gemstone rough. She brings the uncut stones back to the U.S. to be faceted by gem cutters here, and then has them incorporated into fine jewelry by designers with whom she collaborates. Many of the people involved along the way are women, as Monica explains in this must-see Instagram post.<\/p>\n

On this international women's day, we are so grateful for all the incredible women across the world who make ANZA Gems possible!
