However, such a post was nowhere to be found! She was too chatty for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/in-concert-adele-talks-nearly-as-much-as-she-sings-1471455302\" target=\"_blank\">some<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2016\/07\/30\/review-adele-sounds-great-but-too-chatty\/\" target=\"_blank\">critics<\/a> and concertgoers, who counted the number of songs she performed (18) like misers counting coins, comparing that statistic unfavorably to the length of the show. The critic for the Mercury News in California&#8217;s Bay Area was really annoyed, writing:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Of the two hours she spent onstage Saturday, I\u2019d estimate that 40 minutes were devoted to talking. Suck my dick.&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com\/2016\/08\/03\/adele-slams-reviewers-who-said-her-san-jose-concert-was-too-chatty\/\" target=\"_blank\">No, really, that&#8217;s what she said about the criticism at a show a couple of days later<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>I totally enjoyed her interaction with the audience. First of all, a lot of her songs are very emotionally intense, so it was nice to have light-hearted moments between them. (I loved that she said that it does feel weird to keep singing all these songs about a relationship she stopped caring about long ago. I always wondered about that!) Plus, it reminded me of an <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2013\/05\/throwback-thursday-jim-morrison-and-madonna-jackets\/\" target=\"_blank\">old-school cabaret performance<\/a>, albeit an old-school cabaret performance in a giant space. The people who had seats right next to that stage were going to have an awesome photo op no matter what, but Adele made it even better. She walked around the entire platform, pausing every few feet to lean down so all of those fans could take a selfie with her in the background. The whole time she kept talking to the audience, keeping us entertained.
