I wasn’t planning to write about the Madame Royale necklace in Thursday’s post, but writing about the amethyst birthstone earrings led me to my amethyst Marie Antoinette designs. Those, in turn, led me to the necklace inspired by Marie Antoinette’s daughter, Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se-Charlotte, who was known as Madame Royale.<\/p>\n

Considering Madame Royale was the only member of the immediate royal family to survive the French Revolution, there hasn’t been that much written about her. I already mentioned the nonfiction Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se, Child of Terror<\/em><\/a> by Susan Nagel. I also have the historical novel Madame Royale<\/em><\/a> by Elena Maria Vidal. But I can’t find a single “Secret Diary<\/a>” novel about Madame Royale! What royal figure hasn’t had a “Secret Diary” novel written on his or her behalf? I might have to put this on my list of things to do: Write Madame Royale’s “Secret Diary” novel.<\/span><\/p>\n Over on Instagram, I gave a sneak peak of a pair of ruby micro studs.
