Plus, the pinkie deserves more credit than it usually gets: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/12\/16\/health\/16pink.html\" target=\"_blank\">It accounts for a lot of the strength in your hand<\/a>. I&#8217;m right-handed, but my right hand&#8217;s grip had become weaker than my left hand because this ornery pinkie wasn&#8217;t doing its job. After that, I&#8217;ll wear a removable splint for six weeks. <\/p>\n<p>These photos remind me that I&#8217;ve been intending to design new thumb rings for ages. I&#8217;ll have to move those up on my <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2017\/01\/good-times-at-metal-smith\/\" target=\"_blank\">to-do list<\/a>.
