Plus, Olympians who lose their jewelry can always round up an <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/EarringSearchParty?src=hash\" target=\"_blank\">earring search party, <\/a>which is what happened when <a href=\"http:\/\/site.people.com\/style\/olympics-kathleen-baker-lost-earring\/\" target=\"_blank\">Baker lost one of her studs during a preliminary swim at the Rio Olympics on Sunday<\/a>.\u00a0 A scuba diver rescued the pearl from the nearly 10-foot-deep pool &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BOOM! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/sUXeX99OTj\">pic.twitter.com\/sUXeX99OTj<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NBC Olympics (@NBCOlympics) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NBCOlympics\/status\/762825559986442240\">August 9, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; meaning that Baker was appropriately bejeweled when she won her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.people.com\/people\/package\/article\/0,,20996464_21023334,00.html\" target=\"_blank\">silver medal<\/a> in the 100m women\u2019s backstroke.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also pleased to see U.S.A. team members wearing plenty of gold. Swimmer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/sports\/olympics\/katie-ledecky-just-keeps-on-winning-captures-second-gold-in-200-freestyle\/2016\/08\/09\/c7ad07fc-5e9a-11e6-9d2f-b1a3564181a1_story.html\" target=\"_blank\">Katie Ledecky<\/a> got her second gold medal tonight, two days after setting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/sports\/olympics\/unfazed-by-late-nights-katie-ledecky-glides-to-400-freestyle-olympic-record\/2016\/08\/07\/c8a58cc6-5c9a-11e6-8e45-477372e89d78_story.html?tid=a_inl\" target=\"_blank\">a world-record time<\/a> in the women\u2019s 400-meter freestyle.
