I would wear it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<div class=\"getty embed image\" style=\"background-color: #fff; display: inline-block; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue',Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; color: #a7a7a7; font-size: 11px; width: 100%; max-width: 395px;\">\n<div style=\"padding: 0; margin: 0; text-align: left;\"><a style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/539744412\" target=\"_blank\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"overflow: hidden; position: relative; height: 0; padding: 150.379747% 0 0 0; width: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"display: inline-block; position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; margin: 0;\" src=\"\/\/embed.gettyimages.com\/embed\/539744412?et=SfBfCPhQTwVwOq46wQKIHg&amp;viewMoreLink=off&amp;sig=X5Oy27R0uYLV-yeY2o7x7eN_Do1aOZ0xMFmO2KPpGmA=&amp;caption=true\" width=\"395\" height=\"594\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"margin: 0;\">\n<\/div>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Cate hasn&#8217;t called me to tell me if the dress was comfortable, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/life\/entertainthis\/2016\/06\/12\/rare-red-carpet-misfire-cate-blanchett-tonys\/85811562\/?hootPostID=8de6bc113503b401645aa1c86b43f790\" target=\"_blank\">the Vuitton was sufficiently controversial for USA Today, which called it a &#8220;rare red carpet misfire.&#8221;<\/a> I had already chosen Cate as the winner of my coveted <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/category\/best-dressed-wear-what-you-want-award\/\" target=\"_blank\">Best Dressed\/Wear What You Want combo award<\/a> for the Tonys, which honor Broadway&#8217;s best, but it was nice to have USA Today validate my choice. Don&#8217;t forget, my award isn&#8217;t for those who look merely beautiful because that\u2019s too damn easy! You must dare to be different to get in my good graces.<\/p>\n<p>My first runner-up is my new favorite style icon, <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2016\/01\/my-best-dressed-at-the-2016-critics-choice-awards-is\/\" target=\"_blank\">actress Judith Light<\/a>, who once again out-posed everyone else on the red carpet, while wearing what appears to be a jumpsuit with a train. Her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instyledress.co.uk\/evening-dresses-uk\">Roberto Cavalli dress <\/a>had a helluva lot going on &#8212; my often-minimalist designing friend Stacy Lomman was like, &#8220;Noooooooo!&#8221; &#8212; but she owned it.
