But my favorite Beatle book is <em><a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2014\/08\/wanderlust-2014-i-tuned-in-to-liverpool\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tune In<\/a><\/em> by Mark Lewisohn. The Lewisohn book really gets into the state of the recording business at the time when the Beatles were trying to get signed (the Decca label, which rejected the band, believed \u201cguitar groups are on the way out.\u201d) Even George Martin wasn&#8217;t impressed with them at first.
