I planned to wear my traditional Moschino heart dress<\/a> for Valentine’s dinner<\/a> with MrB<\/a>, only to realize at the last minute that the dress was at the cleaner’s. Alas!<\/p>\n

I was thrown off by the clothing surprise, but, on the plus side, I was inspired to wear a vintage Donald Brooks piece that I first wore in 2008<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure I’ve worn this dress since<\/em> 2008, though I wore it multiple times that year.<\/p>\n

This dress is made from a very heavy woolen fabric, and, what with climate change, it’s hardly ever cold enough to put it on. Every time I’ve tried over the past few years, I had to change before I succumbed to heatstroke. Fortunately, it was plenty cold this Valentine’s Day, but, even so, I probably could have gone without a coat thanks to this dress. I’ll have to keep this one in mind if I’m ever invited to a cocktail party at an ice hotel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For warmer weather, wouldn’t this 1980s Yves Saint Laurent dress be perfect for Valentine’s?<\/p>\n
