Blumenthal, writing for the New York Times Thursday Styles section, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2016\/02\/17\/style\/Year-of-the-daisy.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\">has declared that this is the year of the daisy<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Expect a floral explosion as spring fashion starts to arrive in stores, and no flower is getting more love this season than the daisy. The relentlessly cheerful print, iconic in a grungy way (think a throwback Drew Barrymore), has already taken a high-fashion spin in the very 90s Saint Laurent repertoire, in cocktail dresses at Giambattista Valli and now in Dolce &amp; Gabbana\u2019s daisy-crazy spring-summer collection. In more<span class=\"ins cts-3\">&#8211;<\/span>everyday wear, daisies also cover bags, footwear, tees and even jewelry. I&#8217;m glad I took my own advice. Click for original post.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Those are from 2013, <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2013\/09\/boots-for-fall-daisies-and-spikes\/\" target=\"_blank\">the same year I spotted these daisy boots by Red Valentino<\/a>. Damn, fashion repeats itself <em>fast<\/em>. Daisies seem to be on a three-year cycle. Never throw anything out!<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times has another article that gave me Throwback Thursday vibes: a conversation with <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2007\/10\/music-hum-eurythmics\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dave Stewart of Eurythmics<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/02\/18\/fashion\/david-stewart-eurythmic-the-zelig-of-pop.html\" target=\"_blank\">It&#8217;s nice to see that Dave still gives good interviews and fierce poses<\/a>. I interviewed Dave in 1994. (Click <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2007\/10\/music-hum-eurythmics\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> to see scans of the original story.) Much to our amusement, we were kicked out of a hotel ladies&#8217; room where we decided to do part of Dave&#8217;s photo shoot.
