Yoox<\/a> is selling one-of-a-kind Maison Martin Margiela<\/a> Artisanal pieces. I want them all, especially this dress, described as “silk crepe that is decorated with old 33 and 45 vinyl records. If I were 25 years younger and famous enough to have been invited to the recent Crillon Ball<\/a>, I would have insisted on wearing this dress and felt best-dressed by far. Seriously. I saw what the little girls wore and this dress kicks the ASS of any dress worn that night. In fact, this dress more than kicks ass. It grabs a damn golf club<\/a>, chases after the other dresses, smashes the window of their Escalades and causes them to drive into fire hydrants. Sorry, Karl Lagerfeld<\/a>. You lose this time.<\/p>\n

I love pieces that trail to a point this week. I started considering this “dress” (I’d wear it as a top, of course) from Swank Vintage a couple of days before I saw the Margiela. It’s only $225. Very reasonable compared to the vinyl record dress.<\/p>\n

Should I get it? I’m sure I’d have to have Jean of Ghost Tailor<\/a> take it in. It’s a bit too smock-like for me as it is. UPDATED TO ADD: Here’s another reason you should vote for me for blogger of the year: I am not too fucking lazy to do a simple Google search in order to bring you correct information. My link on Margiela’s name in the first sentence of this post is to this New York Times article with a photo of the designer<\/a>. Meanwhile, more famous bloggers write nonsense about how Margiela has never been photographed<\/a>. Too lazy to Google! How do you like that shit?<\/p>\n
