After all the eye candy at the <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2015\/08\/my-best-dressed-at-the-2015-mtv-vmas-is\/\" target=\"_blank\">MTV Video Music Awards last month<\/a>, the Emmys were a big letdown.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to give my coveted <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/category\/best-dressed-wear-what-you-want-award\/\" target=\"_blank\">Best Dressed\/Wear What You Want combo award<\/a> to <em>Scandal<\/em>&#8216;s Kerry Washington, though her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lEch9152uEE\" target=\"_blank\">phresh out the runway<\/a>, chainmail-and-sheer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com\/2015\/09\/21\/kerry-washington-marc-jacobs-2015-emmy-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marc Jacobs dress<\/a> is more beautiful than envelope-pushing. At least the strong shoulders, interesting sleeve length and midi hemline are a refreshing change from the typical strapless or strappy mermaid gown. And, let&#8217;s face it, I would totally wear this. It would really work for a Game of Thrones theme party, right? I&#8217;m always a fan of a dress that encourages the wearer to play with her skirt. Every celebrity who has exposed vast amounts of skin post-Rihanna looks like she&#8217;s desperately trying to capture <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/badgalriri\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bad Gal Riri<\/a>&#8216;s sex-ay magic.
