Apparently, <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/p\/ziqK7RmESZ\/?modal=true\" target=\"_blank\">an Armani cape that was supposed to open when tugged by a dancer didn&#8217;t<\/a>, so Madonna was yanked down several stairs by her neck.<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/vine.co\/v\/O2mLzKU3ur5\/embed\/simple\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><script src=\"https:\/\/platform.vine.co\/static\/scripts\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The lyrics of &#8220;Living for Love&#8221; include:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Took me to heaven and let me fall down<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Now that it&#8217;s over<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I&#8217;m gonna carry on<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Lifted me up, and watched me stumble<\/em><br \/>\n<em> After the heartache, I&#8217;m gonna carry on&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And that&#8217;s what she did. Madonna was up within seconds and continued her performance to the end. She&#8217;s a true professional, like my <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2007\/11\/few-of-my-favorite-things\/\" target=\"_blank\">almost-husband<\/a> Paul McCartney who got banged up in 2005 after <a href=\"http:\/\/themaccareport.com\/2005_tour\/2005_1.htm#anchor1425783\" target=\"_blank\">falling several feet through a hole in the stage from which a piano was supposed to rise<\/a>. He pulled himself together, made a funny comment about it and finished his show. I saw him at Madison Square Garden a couple of weeks later and, as I recall, he joked about it, saying something like, &#8220;You know what you&#8217;re thinking as you fall through a hole in the stage? &#8216;How deep is this hole?!'&#8221; A reasonable question, I&#8217;d say.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been a Madonna fan since the day her first album came out and, <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2014\/08\/happy-birthday-madonna-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">as I&#8217;ve said many a time<\/a>, skipped my high-school prom to go to a Madonna concert at Radio City Music Hall. I&#8217;ve never missed her on tour since.
