Gold was the lucky color, worn by 50% of the winners, with white in second place at 36%. But I lost all interest in the math after coming across the photo representing brown (5%), which showed Jennifer Hudson in her controversial 2007 look.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_28651\" style=\"width: 394px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-28651\" class=\"size-large wp-image-28651\" src=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/jhud-384x1024.jpg\" alt=\"From the Hollywood Reporter.\" width=\"384\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/jhud-384x1024.jpg 384w, https:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/jhud-113x300.jpg 113w, https:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/jhud-300x800.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/jhud.jpg 401w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-28651\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From the Hollywood Reporter.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Hudson was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.socialitelife.com\/jennifer_hudson_and_andre_leon_talley_threw_down_over_that_horrifying_oscar_bolero_jacket-02-2007\" target=\"_blank\">roundly criticized<\/a> for her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/jennifer-hudsons-oscars-scandal--2007272\" target=\"_blank\">brown Oscar de la Renta dress and metallic bolero<\/a>. After the fact, she distanced herself from the look, <a href=\"http:\/\/nymag.com\/thecut\/2008\/05\/jennifer_hudson_didnt_like_and.html\" target=\"_blank\">indicating she felt pressured into it by her stylist<\/a> for the evening, Andr\u00e9 Leon Talley, who was, at the time, an editor-at-large for Vogue. I have to strongly disagree with her and everyone else who criticized ALT&#8217;s choice. I loved that outfit then and I love it now. There&#8217;s an interesting timelessness about it. If someone wore it next year, it would look completely modern. I would happily wear this myself, of course. When I like a certain style, I like it for a long time. I almost wish I were wearing the Watanabe\/Zang Toi combo again to the Vanity Fair party tomorrow, but I&#8217;ve got something else up my non-ruffled sleeve.
