There is the man whom we all know, stupid, unimaginative, whose brain is bitten numbly by numb maggots; who walks generously with wide-spread, tentative legs, falls frequently in the gutter, and who sees, in the extremity of his ecstasy, blue mice and pink elephants. He is the type that gives rise to the jokes in the funny papers.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hilariously, London goes on to make the point that he&#8217;s the SECOND type of hard drinker &#8212; the type that gets smarter when he drinks. Yeah, the more I drink, the smarter I get too, Mr. London. You guys do too, right?!<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re at or going to the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tucsongemshows.net\/coming.html\" target=\"_blank\"> big gem show in Tucson, Ariz., this week<\/a>, you may also see a pink elephant despite being stone-cold sober.\u00a0 My Pink Elephant and Tipsy Writer ring won honorary mention in the <a href=\"http:\/\/agta.org\/pressroom\/20141027-2015SpectrumWinners.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Amerian Gem Trade Association Spectrum Awards eveningwear category<\/a>, and it is on display ahead of the awards ceremony on Saturday.
