MrB and I went to a screening of the new movie adaptation of Annie<\/em><\/a> last night. Quvenzhan\u00e9 Wallis<\/span> (Beasts of the Southern Wild<\/em><\/a>) makes an adorable Annie and Jamie Foxx plays Will Stacks, the updated version of Daddy Warbucks. I enjoyed watching a little boy next to me literally sitting on the edge of his seat during the dramatic moments.<\/p>\n

I first saw Annie<\/em> on Broadway in 1979 — I believe it was my first Broadway play — and it just so happens that my gorgeous sister keeps all her Broadway Playbills. After the movie screening, I emailed an urgent request for photos of the Annie<\/em> Playbill.<\/p>\n

This is a special souvenir because look who played Annie: 14-year-old Sarah Jessica Parker!<\/p>\n
