My designing friend Zang Toi had a sample sale earlier this week<\/a>, and I joined him at his showroom to sell my WENDYB by Wendy Brandes<\/a> jewelry.<\/p>\n

In between customers, I admired Zang’s offerings, including this dress from his Spring 2014 “Ballet Babe<\/a>” collection.<\/p>\n

I couldn’t resist trying on a couple of dresses. I decided to be adventurous, choosing ones that my right-hand woman Eryn<\/a> would describe as “pounds of fabric<\/a>.” It turns out that a giant dress that has been fitted to a toothpick-thin, 6′-tall model looks rather comical on a 5’4″ civilian.\u00a0 This high\/low (or “mullet<\/a>“) gown looked elegant on the runway.<\/p>\n
