{"id":25306,"date":"2014-04-15T00:01:20","date_gmt":"2014-04-15T04:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/?p=25306"},"modified":"2014-04-14T22:22:10","modified_gmt":"2014-04-15T02:22:10","slug":"lupita-wins-my-dress-i-want-award-for-the-mtv-movie-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/lupita-wins-my-dress-i-want-award-for-the-mtv-movie-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Lupita Wins My &#8220;Dress I Want Award&#8221; for the MTV Movie Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I watched <em>Game of Thrones<\/em> Sunday night (OMG, right?!!) then switched to the MTV Movie Awards right on time to see Eminem and Rihanna perform &#8220;The Monster.&#8221; Having seen the only part of the awards I was interested in, I then turned the television off and went out for some non-poisonous wine.<\/p>\n<p>I definitely didn&#8217;t see enough of anything related to the MTV event to bestow one of my coveted <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/category\/best-dressed-wear-what-you-want-award\/\" target=\"_blank\">Best Dressed\/Wear What You Want<\/a> awards. I take those seriously, y&#8217;all. I have to do the research before I hand one of those out. But I have made up a new award for actress Lupita Nyong\u2019o. It&#8217;s embellished, colorful, ruched, and it has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laineygossip.com\/Lupita-Nyongos-best-dress-at-the-MTV-Movie-Awards\/29956\" target=\"_blank\">turtleneck with an open back<\/a>. It&#8217;s so me! I suppose Lupita had to send it straight back to Chanel, so there&#8217;s no chance of her giving me a hand-me-down. Dang.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I&#8217;m glad to see that Lupita has extended her <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2014\/03\/my-best-dressed-at-the-oscars-pharrell-jared-lupita\/\" target=\"_blank\">winning fashion streak <\/a>past the Oscars.
