I was going to save this for tomorrow, but I can’t wait!<\/p>\n

For those who don’t know, my husband is leaving his current job at the end of this year and starting a new job right away<\/a>. No rest and relaxation for him! I have been helping the current company plan a surprise retirement party for him and it was held last night. The Treasury Secretary<\/a> came with an impressive Secret Service detail (Secret Service = THE hot accessory for holiday 2007) and Mayor Bloomberg<\/a> came too, as well as nearly 200 other people.<\/p>\n

My husband is the chairman of the Committee to Protect Journalists<\/a>, so the company made a generous donation in his honor. He got one of those ginormous Publishers Clearing House-type checks!<\/p>\n
