I love browsing the vintage clothes on 1stdibs<\/a> for wild pieces like the Versace dress<\/a> I blogged this weekend. I recently found two designs that are soooo Jackie Kennedy, without the pillbox hats. Actually, they’re way more literal than that. This one-of-a-kind dress by one of my favorite designers, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac<\/a>, features a silk sheath that was hand-painted with Jackie Kennedy’s face. It’s covered with a black chiffon “mourning veil.” The piece, which is on hold, was exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2006<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also spotted: this cashmere sweater\/tunic\/dress-thing, covered with Jackie photos. It’s available for $475.<\/p>\n

I’m also having fun looking for clothes that would be worthy of the new, ultra-’70s movie American Hustle<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0 I can’t wait to see that for the fashion alone.<\/p>\n
