Apparently, she&#8217;s experiencing classic small business woes. The finances aren&#8217;t there to keep up with demand, and she&#8217;s had to cancel shipments of her fall-winter collection. That&#8217;s a small business owner&#8217;s worst nightmare &#8211; getting the orders but not being able to fill them. It&#8217;s hard to stay in business after that. I feel that even if she finds a buyer, she&#8217;ll be making a quick exit anyway. She&#8217;s working on a capsule collection under her own name for Bebe, which follows capsule collections she&#8217;s done for Easy Spirit. I envision her continuing down that path in the future. Interesting that this comes just days after Kate and Andy Spade announced their departure from Kate Spade.
