I asked Lauren to tell us a little bit about herself and here’s what she had to say:<\/p>\n

“Hello! My name is Lauren Delost. I’m currently located in Florida. I have a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. In my professional life I am a Product Developer for collectible figurines. In my personal life I am a music junkie, a fashion & makeup lover, and a huge animal lover (among many other things). My personal style is a bit eclectic, artistic, feminine, vintage-inspired, and fun. I’ve been told ‘Anthropologie meets Audrey Hepburn.’ (Although it is hard to pin down my exact style!) I do agree with Wendy’s motto “Wear What You Want.<\/a>” I’m a new customer to Wendy’s line who has up until recently been only window shopping, reading Wendy’s fabulous blog, and chatting with her on Twitter.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I asked Lauren why she bought the bunny earrings and she explained:<\/p>\n

“I chose the bunny earrings because a) they’re adorable and I love items with attention to detail. Specifically on these are the sweet little whiskers and the perfect choice of bunny silhouette. It reads as a bunny whether you are close up or viewing the earrings from a distance. And b) because they have a special symbolic significance between me and my boyfriend. Which is a more personal take on the boyfriend jewelry trend that has been a point of discussion recently<\/a>. No, his name is not ‘Bunny.'”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ha! Good to know you’re not dating a guy named Bunny, Lauren … mainly because I envision any guy named ‘Bunny’ as being a real badass, biker-gang type of guy. He’d have to grow up tough, like a boy named Sue<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The other piece I chose is the ‘Madame Royale’ fleur de lis necklace. I love this piece because I am attracted to anything related to Marie Antoinette (this piece was created in honor of her daughter, Marie-Therese Charlotte<\/a>.) And also strong female figures from throughout history. Which is a lot of why I’m such a fan of Wendy’s work and her writing\/blog. I love how her pieces are grounded in history but are beautifully timeless. I hope someday to be able to add some of her gorgeous luxury pieces to my collection. I highly recommend both pieces!”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If anyone else is interested in Marie Antoinette’s daughter, I recommend the book Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se, Child of Terror<\/em><\/a> by Susan Nagel. It is fascinating reading about the only immediate member of the French royal family to survive the Revolution. Over three years of imprisonment and mistreatment didn’t break Marie-Therese. She emerged as a strong-minded and surprisingly politically adept 17-year-old.
