I know how the kid in the photo above feels, because when I was growing up in scenic Mahwah, N.J., one of the neighbors got bunnies for Easter. Soon after the holiday, I was surprised to see black-and-white domestic rabbits hopping around in my backyard. I figured they’d escaped, so I caught two with a badminton net and temporarily stashed them in a shed, where one immediately hopped on top of the other. My innocence was taken away! I ran off to get a cardboard box to pack the rabbits in and when I came back, they’d switched positions. Dafuq?! My innocence was taken away AGAIN! I put the romantic rabbits in the box and delivered them back to the neighbor, feeling proud of myself. The next day the rabbits were back in my yard. I’m not 100% sure whether the neighbor was an asshole who was letting the rabbits go because they’d outlived their usefulness as holiday decorations or whether another neighbor’s annoying Airedale Terrier was knocking over the hutch. I did manage to recapture one bun and establish him in a hutch in my yard, but I had to chase him down a few more times because of that damn Airedale, so I suppose I have to give the original owner the benefit of the doubt.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I created the bunny earrings at the request of my gorgeous client Heather, who wanted a gold pair<\/a>. I was pleased to get an email from her yesterday, saying, “I love them!
