The honorees were Michael J. Kowalksi, chairman and chief executive of some <a href=\"http:\/\/tiffany.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">non-WendyB jewelry place<\/a>, and my dear friend, <a href=\"http:\/\/people.forbes.com\/profile\/carl-spielvogel\/6546\" target=\"_blank\">Ambassador Carl Spielvogel<\/a>. (Carl is married to the gorgeous Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel, previously mentioned <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2009\/05\/having-marilyn-moment\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.) I wore the beautiful Zang Toi gown that I wore in February to the <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/vanity-fair\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vanity Fair Oscar party<\/a>.  I figured that the East Coast needed to see the <a href=\"http:\/\/wendybrandes.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/ass-flowers-are-new-butt-bow\/\" target=\"_blank\">ass-flower gown<\/a>; the West Coast can&#8217;t have all the fun!<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wendybrandes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_gTmdbGeiE-E\/Sh7Ai7EAt2I\/AAAAAAAAHyw\/SpExz5idsUs\/s320\/IMG_0355.JPG\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340917914310588258\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size:85%;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Before heading out<\/span><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<p>We got to view the new American Wing, which was recently reopened with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/05\/19\/nyregion\/19michelle.html\" target=\"_blank\">Michelle Obama there to cut the ribbon<\/a>.
