I first noticed the new popularity of red pants at the Independent Fashion Bloggers conference in February<\/a>. Soon they were on so many bloggers that I put a red-pants slideshow together for the Huffington Post<\/a>. At that point, I remembered that I’d grown up watching male rockers on MTV jumping around in tight red pants<\/a>. Now things seem to have come full circle, and, once again, red pants are the uniform of choice for dudes in the music business. I noticed them at Lollapalooza earlier this month<\/a>, they were well-represented at last night’s MTV VMAs by a variety of guys. Wearing the look were teenybopper<\/a> panty-wetter<\/a> Justin Bieber …<\/p>\n
