Right before Snakes on a Plane<\/em><\/a> came out five years ago, a friend and I were so swayed by the pre-opening online hype that we bet MrB that the movie would be a mega-blockbuster. Well, it turned out that the hype was just hype. According to IMDB, the movie’s domestic gross barely topped the production cost. Also all hype? Our bet. My friend and I welched on that trip to Paris we promised MrB, blaming over-consumption of Champagne at the time we made the bet. Not very gentlemanly of us! I should be ashamed … but I’m not.<\/p>\n

Anyway, snakeskin — whether real or printed — is going to be big this fall. I see some fabulous offerings from Prada on Bergdorf Goodman<\/a>‘s website.<\/p>\n

I investigated my closet to see how much snake I already have.\u00a0 I gathered the best pieces together. I believe I’ve had them all at least five years. Good thing I rarely get rid of things<\/a>!<\/p>\n

One thing I did throw out was a pair of shiny, snake-patterned pants in brown and black that I wore to their literal death in the late ’90s. I was sure I had a photo of them, but I can’t find it. Alas! As I recall, I got them at the same time I got my stretchy red capri pants<\/a> and these leopard pants.<\/p>\n
